Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series Heats up at Miller Motorsports Park

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series headed to Utah for Rounds 7-8. Miller Motorsports Park hosted the weekend’s racing, and with the season nearing its halfway point the championship battles in every class is starting to take shape.

Bryce Menzies earned the win in Pro 2 at Round 7.

In Pro 2, Bryce Menzies earned his fourth victory of the season in the class, as he managed to hold off a hard-charging Carl Renezeder and Sheldon Creed, who finished in second and third, respectively. Kyle LeDuc proved yet again he looks to defend his Pro 4 Championship with another victory. Menzies had another good showing in  Pro 4, as he finished in second behind LeDuc, while Brian Deegan rounded out the top three.

Jerett Brooks earned the Pro Lite victory at Round 7.

Darren Hardesty Jr. earned his first career Pro Buggy victory at Round 7.

In Pro Lite, Jerett Brooks earned his second victory of the season at Round 7, with Brandon Arthur finishing in second and Ryan Beat taking third. In Pro Buggy, Darren “Hot Sauce” Hardesty Jr. earned his first career win in the class, holding off challenges from second-place finisher Kevin McCullough and third-place finisher Mike Valentine.

Jeremy McGrath (2) edged out Rob MacCachren (21) for the Pro 2 win at Round 8.

A number of interesting story lines took place when racers took the track for Round 8 as well, as Jeremy McGrath earned his first victory in Pro 2 as a team owner. McGrath was able to hold off short-course veterans Rob MacCachren and Carl Renezeder, who finished in second and third, respectively. Kyle LeDuc continued his dominance in Pro 4 with another victory at Round 8. MacCachren earned his second second-place finish of the day, and Renezeder also earned another podium with his third-place finish in Pro 4.

RJ Anderson held off the field to earn the Round 8 victory.

RJ Anderson earned his second Pro Lite victory at Round 8, while Brandon Arthur took home another solid second-place finish of the weekend as well. Jerett Brooks closed out a solid weekend with his third-place finish at Round 8. In Pro Buggy, another racer earned his first career victory in the class, as Mike Valentine crossed the finish line first after edging out Round 7’s winner Hardesty Jr., who finished second, and Garett George, who finished in third.

Mike Valentine took home his first Pro Buggy victory with his Round 8 win.
